Visitor, Phishing Attacks are on the rise!

Dear Visitor,

Welcome to our August 2019 Newsletter.

Phishing Attacks are on the rise in 2019!

Dangerous and not easy to spot and avoid, phishing attacks have increased and become more sophisticated.
Before opening an email get in the habit of looking at the sender’s email address to be sure that it is not a malicious email address! Do not just look at the name of the sender and think that it is okay to open, as attackers will often use a name that you know for the sender—see below:
From: "Someone You Know" <>
Date: 11/2/18 4:52 PM (GMT-05:00)
To: xyz <xyz@Your Domain>
Subject: Ref/Pay-Due
I will need you to help procure some Physical Itunes gift cards to send out now. Do you have access to any corporate card or can get the cards and you will be reimbursed. Let me know if you can get it right away so i can advise on the quantity to procure.
If you are not expecting an email (be especially careful of an invoice email) from someone and you get one, check with an office staff member with the company that might recognize the email, or contact the sender before opening and inquire as to whether they sent you the email, or send the sender of the email a separate email to confirm that an email was sent to you from them, or contact Sierra. Another clue that an email may be a phishing one—most phishing emails will not come with a phone number.
Do not open attachments in an email unless you are absolutely sure of the sender and the sender’s email address.
If an email is suspicious to you and/or has a suspicious attachment, please FORWARD AS ATTACHMENT—FOLLOWING EXAMPLE BELOW to our support team – THEN MARK IT AS JUNK AND BLOCK SENDER, it helps prevent attacks (FOLLOWS STEPS AT BOTTOM OF THIS EMAIL!)
Click on Home on the top ribbon and click on “More”, then when it drops down choose Forward as Attachment

Hyperlinks can also be harmful, clicking on a hyperlink may seem harmless, but could actually harm your computer! A hyperlink in your email may be not be real—NOT a real URL—you click on it and the trouble begins. Test the hyperlink first by hovering over the hyperlink with your mouse and it will reveal the true URL link for you to see—example below. Always be cautious before clicking to open anything! See below link.  The text doesn't match the actual link

Right-click on the email and click on Junk, then Block Sender—as seen below:
